I was always crystal clear
waves that break as promised
you can see the whole way through
light, lined with specks and shinning rays
the clouds became thick
dark
you asked if that was okay
I dipped my fingers
they disappeared
my waters darkened and swirled
different directions, new frequencies
currents sweeping the ocean floor
what was once so still
now covered in cloudy mists of a storm
that will never settle again.
